Accountability (Yes, you’re on the hook!)

All parties associated with Shop 4 School, including but not limited to their Clients, Suppliers and Associates, are bound by the POPIA Act in South Africa.

In short, this means that all parties are obligated to abide by the rules of “Protection of Personal Information” of all parties involved.
What does this mean in short…. All personal information, including but not limited to names, addresses, contact details, sensitive information regarding medical conditions, account details etc. is protected by the POPIA Act and no person or their institutions will be entitled to use, disclose or distribute any information given to them by Shop 4 School or their associates.

By completing application forms and utilising or providing any of the Shop 4 School services, all parties agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the POPIA Act and agree that they will be held accountable and liable for any damages incurred from the irregular and irresponsible use or distribution of information.

Only gather personal info that’s lawful, limited, and relevant – no hoarding allowed.
The information supplied by Shop 4 School, their Clients, Suppliers and Associates is only to be used for its intended use.
Inform data subjects why you’re collecting their info – and stick to that purpose. Don’t wander off into random uses.

Any new use of the collected data must align with the original purpose.
Ensure data is accurate, current, and not misleading. Data must be update when necessary.

If there’s a data breach that may cause harm, please inform Shop 4 School immediately in order for both the Information Regulator and the affected people to be made aware promptly.

In short, the information we use is private and confidential and we expect all users of this information to abide by the POPIA Act.
